ናሆምNAHOM

What the studio does

From the session to the shelf, and from the shelf to the license.

Six practices, one desk. Nahom produces music and film, distributes on CD and digital, manages rights, looks after artists, and hosts the moments around a release.

A line drawing of a release traveling from one point to many.

01

Music production

Recording, finishing, and presenting Ethiopian songs as releases — singles, videos, and albums.

The studio works with artists across Amharic, Tigrigna, and the wider Ethiopian repertoire. A production can be a single official video or a full album destined for the catalog.

  • Song production and release planning
  • Official video presentation
  • Album programming, including the Nahom Favorite collections

02

Film production

Picture work beside the music: features, film credits, and the visual identity of a release.

Nahom’s public identity has always included film, not only audio. The company has carried executive producer credit on dramatic work, including Zumra, and treats video as part of the recording, not an afterthought.

  • Film and video production partnerships
  • Executive producer engagement
  • Title sequences and release visuals

03

CD and digital distribution

Physical and digital paths so a release can be bought, played, and found.

Nahom grew up in the CD era and kept moving. Distribution is the company’s longest practice: getting Ethiopian music into shops, onto discs, and onto the platforms listeners open today.

  • CD manufacturing and catalog distribution
  • Digital release coordination
  • Channel publishing on YouTube

04

Licensing and rights

A clear chain from the owner of a recording to the place it is used.

Global licensing is how a song leaves the catalog without being lost. The studio treats rights as part of the release, not paperwork that happens later.

  • Licensing inquiries for music and film
  • Catalog permissions
  • Credit and ownership kept with the work

05

Event hosting

Showcases and listening rooms for a release that needs a public night.

Some records need a room. Nahom hosts and supports events that put artists, partners, and the diaspora audience in the same place — a premiere, a listening night, a showcase.

  • Release events
  • Artist showcases
  • Partner and community gatherings

06

Artist management

A steady desk for artists who need a producer, a plan, and a way into the wider market.

The studio stays with an artist past a single session. Planning, presentation, and a path into the catalog sit with the same desk that already carries recordings across Ethiopia and the diaspora.

  • Release planning with the artist
  • Presentation for the catalog and channel
  • A path into the territories where the recordings travel
